Bristol Post 2015 Gold Star Awards
Added: 24 December 2015
City Motors were proud to be part of the 2015 Gold Star Awards honouring those people who have done amazing things to help people in the community.
The Gold Star awards for local heroes were launched in 1994.
Since then they have been held every year. During that time Gold Star awards have been given to more than 200 people. And each year one of the winners is chosen to receive the overall Gold Star award.
The Gold Star awards are now the longest running awards of their kind in the entire South West and over the years winners have included people who have saved lives, shown immense courage in the face of great adversity and given decades of service to their communities.
City Motors had the pleasure of sponsoring the Bristol Post Gold Star Good Samaritan award, this was awarded to 10-year-old Charlotte Geraghty.
Charlotte first started fundraising when she saw a poster for the Cots for Tots Appeal in St Michael’s Hospital while visiting her mum Claire and new baby brother, after he was born.
Since then, Charlotte has devoted an incredible amount of time and effort devising ever-more creative ways to support the appeal, raising thousands of pounds in the process, simply because, as she says: “I like helping the babies.”
We look forward to continuing their support in 2016
